Hösten 2011 var en bra termin för KRAFTVERKET! Akter som Landklang, Anna Messa och Kornél Kovács kom och spelade för oss. Fullt hus och fest in på småtimmarna gång på gång. Nu är vårterminen 2012 kommen - nu slår vi på den stora trumman! Till säsongspremiären av KRAFTVERKET har vi lyckats med bedriften att boka fantastiska Adam & Mandy från Stockholm!

ADAM & MANDY

Since the very beginning back in 2009, the dynamic duo Adam & Mandy have been doing their utmost to re-introduce glowstix to clubkids all over Sweden. On top of hosting regular rave parties at the upper echelon party palace known as Spy Bar, they play all around the country. From local favourites like F12 and Morfar Ginko in the capital, Kraftverket in the deep south, to the dingiest basement parties only heard of in hushed whispers around town.

Starting out with a solid base of Chicago style house music, they grab inspiration from anything they can get their hands on - from early warehouse parties of the past to pumping UK bassmusic and the hippest new crap of today. Throw it in a blender and mix until smooth, and you’ve got your typical Adam & Mandy vibe going strong.

Playing tracks that will stir any crowd with their tongue-in-cheek sound, it’s no wonder they’ve come this far. Working day and night crafting music for the modern techno dance floors, they’re now stepping their game up yet another notch.

Efter två sanslöst utsålda hus och magnifik fantastisk fanatism på dansgolvet skärper Kraftverket örnblicken, spänner höftböjarmusklerna, tar ett djupt andetag för att verkligen pröva spänsten och testa vingarna på riktigt. Natten mellan den 22 och 23 oktober genomförs det riktiga elddopet och den tekniska besiktningen, purgatoriet och prövningen. Det är dags både för dig och för Kraftverket att ställas öga mot öga och tand mot tand (?) med vårt största namn hittills: sthlm-klubbräven och musikmakaren Kornél Kovács! Mitt emellan ekon från svunna 12” och basgångar från osläppta stycken kommer du möta det mest internationella, koola, skrämmande och skruvade cd-spelandet Sydskånskas källare någonsin har upplevt! I precisa termer: från några av världens bästa klubbar och festivaler —> techno och house i weltklass —> din galnaste lördagkväll!

Med inspiration från mentala ritningar över bunkerklubbar, fabrikslokaler, slakthus & trädgårdar skapar Kraftverkets tankesmedja ett swedenborgskt rum i Sydskånskas källare. Ett rum för dans, kärlek och musik. Ett rum för bostadslösa, musikälskare, novischer, nationsrävar, teologer, statsvetare, för nykära, nydumpade, hipsters och accidental chinese hipsters. Ett rum för en toppkväll, för en cigg med den snygga killen och den där charmiga tjejen, för drömmar och krossat glas, referenser, basgångar, rök, tunga namn och mera rök, för dig, techno viking och dina nya bästa vänner, för en Gold Strike, för en Red Stripe, för en känsla av nånting större, för en skräckblandad förtjusning, för dans utan slut. Kort sagt: Ett rum för musik och rak musik endast.

Kornél has been doing his best to put Sweden on the techno map, dropping well-placed parties and rounding up armies of revellers like a master Risk strategist all over the country. He’s played alongside international heavyweights like Richie Hawtin and Moodymann, while keeping the airwaves ahead of the curve as the presenter of Sweden’s most popular radio show for electronic music, P3 Dans. He’s also been quietly crafting “non-linear techno and house beats with lots of strössel on top” in the Barnhus studio together with Axel Boman and Petter, testing out the mixes in those legendary warehouse-style Kruthuset parties.

You can say that Kornél Kovács has developed himself into one of the most creative and influential djs, producers and party organizers of Sweden the last five years. Next to the great list of clubs in Scandinavia he has played, you have: Tokyo (Module, SoundBar+), Mexico City (Rioma, AM, HookahLounge), Barcelona (Sónar festival, City Hall, La Paloma), Rome (Lanificio 159), Bologna (Cassero), Berlin (Bar25, Picknick),Budapest (Cha Cha Cha, Kuplung), London (The Egg, Dalston Superstore,Gutterslut), Aix-En- Provence (Spartacus), Rotterdam (Brandend Pakhuis festival), Antwerp (Fanklub), Prague (Radost FX), Brno (Perpetuum), Galway (LowerState), Hamburg (FF_klub) and Tallinn (Sundance festival). It’s only a matter of time until we’ll all be members of the Kornél Kovács Klan.

A place for the new students without a home, for the music bloggers, freshmen, nation veterans, hipsters, theologians, med students, a room for a top night, for a cigarette with the good looking guy and that charming girl by the bar, for dreams and broken glass, bass lines, smoke, badman djs and more smoke, for you, for a Red Stripe and your new best friends, for a sense of something larger, for a horror delight, for dancing without end.
